End of May/Early June has been absolute chaos and I wanted to give FOE a chance to post these pics I took for them at the Too Fast For Love tour in SoCal but now that they’re up I can post them here! First up is Anaheim, the kids in I Fight Dragons and their very, very unique brand of geek-rock (props for the controller instruments, I can only imagine the time and money that’s gone into perfecting those). They got the energy up early only to be followed by one man that I’ve been eager to shoot for quite some time now, the one and only Travis McCoy (along with Matt McGinley from Gym Class Heroes and Infamous) who killed it absolutely and without a doubt slayed anacrime! Loved it. Of course next was my first time seeing 3OH!3 live and shooting them and it was everything I expected. And then one of my personal favorites, Cobra Starship! Always bringing it, always! Easter Sunday I had a blast rocking out at Chain Reaction with the guys in Phone Calls From Home! I met Dave and the guys at Bamboozle and found out they had a show scheduled for Sunday at Chain and so I swung by to take some shots. I was excited to see that Teen Hearts was playing too because I’ve run into these guys at a few shows passing out their promo but hadn’t had a chance to hear them and they were just as good as I hoped they’d be, so I snapped some pics of them before Phone Calls From Home went on. I had a blast with the guys and the other photographer there, running around the stage and the green room. We did an impromptu shoot in the green room after their set (props to Chain for the most literal green room ever :D) So check out the shots and when you’re done, check out Teen Hearts and Phone Calls From Home on myspace and give them a listen and support good music!

Last week thanks to drum tech of awesome, Yoshi, I had the great chance to shoot the Take Action tour in Anaheim at the House of Blues. The show was amazing but sadly due to list snafus I missed Stereo Skyline—can’t wait to catch back up with these boys and get more good pics. But I made it just in time for There for Tomorrow’s set and the rest of the show, I even got to spend some time chatting with the amazing women at the National Marrow Donor Program that was there representing the Drive for Donors for the night. It was a great night with fantastic performances from all the bands and great hangs with all my Anaheim friends and of course, Yoshi. Enjoy the pics!!

Here’s a few of what I consider artistic images from the Take Action tour show at the House of Blues in Anaheim… Some cool artsy shots to be followed by the galleries and show write up!
Glamour Kills in Anaheim was great because it was my first time finally getting to shoot in the House of Blues, which was great despite some hitches (Duncan Johnson > Everything, just so you know). I had a blast shooting it and got to shoot with some friends from the pit at past shows (check out Kayla Merrill if you ever get the chance, another fantastic So Cal shooter for Friends or Enemies). Great performances by Friday Night Boys, Hey Monday and We The Kings as well as headliners All Time Low. Great shooting all of these guys again and also getting to shoot WTK for the first time as a whole.

So I followed the Glamour Kills tour around California a few weeks ago and between then and now I’ve been sick twice, worked on (and passed!) my portfolio for grad review, submitted images to grad gallery, worked black friday weekend in retail and made various submissions to a few different things. Now I’ve finally had time to fine tune the galleries for Glamour Kills but before I post them, I’m gonna cue up some teasers of MY favorite images before throwing up the galleries.
And don’t forget holidays are around the corner and what fan wouldn’t love an epic print of their favorite band this Christmukkwanzaa season? ;) (*coughonlinestorecough*) So enjoy some shots from GK, galleries up soon!
The next day it was back on the concert trail first to Lakewood, CA to the Best Buy In-store featuring Hey Monday, The Friday Night Boys, Stereo Skyline and Golden State. After that it was traffic, traffic, more traffic and finally Chain Reaction. Before I got in to shoot the show, I had a little photo shoot with Elliot. Sadly because of my shoot I missed most of The Bigger Lights’s set and all of Stereo Skyline’s set. I did get some sweet shots of TBL and of The Friday Night Boys as well as This Providence and Hey Monday! Enjoy!
