Crazy week is crazy! I just wanted to put a quick note up here that Art 4 Life 4 last night was amazing and as always I had the incredible privilege of being front and center with my camera for all of it. I wanted to thank Gina for always letting me be there and capturing everything, Kavita for working her little dancin’ butt off; Heather, Francia and Ryan for being sweet, super awesome emcees and everyone whose toes I stepped on or tripped over (for not killing me). The pictures look GREAT, I have a couple thousand to pick through, but I hope to have them up Thursday or Friday. Art 4 Life 3 (2009)

Look at those beautiful Gleeks! I know this is from last year and has already been posted but I wanted to take a moment to let you guys all know that Art4Life is happening again this year for the FOURTH YEAR running and I’m so proud of Gina and her little show that could.

Art4Life is an event run every year in co-operation with the Arcadia Relay for Life to raise money for the American Cancer society in memory of those we’ve loved and lost and inspired by my dear friend Gina Starbuck and her own personal loss. Every year has gotten bigger and bigger and every show has gotten more and more amazing. A4L’s inaugural run featured Emcees Michael Urie (Ugly Betty) and Carol Kane (Hollywood and Broadway legend!). A4L2 featured a pre-Idol performance by 2009 runner-up Adam Lambert and smash recording artist Ferras, A4L3 featured antics from GLEE hosts Chris Colfer (Kurt), Amber Riley (Mercedes), and Dianna Agron (Quinn), and performances by rising stars Francia Raisa (Secret Life) and Bonnie McKee.

This year already has some amazing talent including GLEE’s Amber Riley returning to host alongside co-star Heather Morris (Brittany) and performances scheduled by up and coming recording artist Mateo, comedian Ryan Hill (for the fourth year running, he’s hilarious, don’t miss it) and dance groups Tokyo and Karmagraphy! Every year I’ve had the wonderful opportunity of attending, supporting and working at Art 4 Life down in Los Angeles. Every year, I’ve also shot the performances and this year was no exception as Art 4 Life 3 brought down the house at Cinescape Hollywood. The Emcees were comedian Ryan Hill and Amber Riley, Dianna Agron and Chris Colfer from the cast of Fox’s new hit comedy Glee. There were many returning performers including dance troupe Fanny Pak, Melissa Fahn, Warsaw Wow (Laura Dysarczyk and Michael Okarma) and Eden Espinosa. Some of the new faces this year were Other Duck fashions, Bonnie McKee, Aleks Pevic and troupes from Step It Up and Dance and So You Think You Can Dance, Marisa Guterman, Skyline, and many, many more.
