All American Rejects // Warped Tour \ Carson, CA

This summer has just been jam packed with me getting to shoot so many bands that I’ve loved since late high school/freshman year of college and getting to shoot AAR (especially when they played Swing, Swing) took me back to the summer I spent in New York with Valentina and all of my friends in the old Michelle Branch crew. It was so awesome, now I feel like there’s only a few bands left from High School and Fordham that I haven’t shot yet—one of which is happening in September! It was so awesome to get to see and shoot All American Rejects!!

The Cab // Warped Tour \ Carson, CA

Four months ago, I hadn’t shot the Cab despite how many times I’d seen them live and how long I’ve loved them. Now, I’ve shot them twice and I’m looking forward to seeing them again. I don’t have many pictures thanks to the GIANT cluster bomb of people at the guest list checkin, they went on at 11:30 and that’s when I got my pass, so I booked it to the stage and managed to catch a song and a half of the first three songs. I’m quite excited that I got more shots of Joey being a BAMF. :) Enjoy!

Anarbor // Warped Tour \ Carson, CA

Okay, so Anarbor I’ve been excited to shoot for a while. I got their album Free Your Mind and fell head over heels in love after I discovered them while playing Tap Tap Revenge on my iPhone and then I saw them live at Bamboozle and won their snare drum head. So I’ve been getting really amped to shoot them for a while and just like with We Are The In Crowd, I can’t wait to work with them in some way!

VersaEmerge // Warped Tour \ Carson, CA

Starting up the queue of pictures from Warped Tour this Friday, starting with VersaEmerge. These are in no particular order at all whatsoever, a little differently I’m posting one band per post! Versa’s set was amazing, it was so great getting to hear the Fixed at Zero songs live with a full electric band. Also, mad props and thanks to Versa’s tour manager Mike for letting me shoot their signing!

The Material // The Epicentre \ San Diego, CA

This weekend, my friends and I journeyed down to beautiful San Diego to see the first Material concert with their amazing new drummer Kevin Pintado work it on stage with our friends. Shooting with friends is always nice, so it was awesome getting to shoot with Stef Greenfield (I’m gonna make her get a website so you can all see how amazing her photography is. She’s getting into show shooting now too, so she’ll have that to post too :)) and we had a BLAST. I love the Epicentre for how many different angles I can get and I love The Material’s fans for always being so gracious and letting me squeeze up in front of and around them to take close pictures.

ALSO Thank you to EVERYONE who voted for The Material for the Rock Yourself To Sleep tour! They are one of the three winning bands and they take to the road with Every Avenue, The Secret Handshake, Sing it Loud and There For Tomorrow starting TONIGHT in West Hollywood at The Troubadour! Please come out if you can and support these guys, this is such a huge break for them and the more of us are out along the tour, supporting them loud and proud, the better! Let’s do this! All of the dates are on their myspace—which Jon just redid with the photos we shot together in May (which I’ll be posting once he puts them up on his space!) I hope to see your shining faces out there tonight at the Troubadour and then I’ll see you all, all over again, tomorrow morning at WARPED! Time for punk rock summer camp, y’all. Will I see you there?

Too Fast For Love Tour // Club Nokia \ Los Angeles, CA

This show was just as awesome as the one at the Grove only with even better lighting (Nokia always brings it, second favorite lighting in SoCal next to the HoB Anaheim) and working side by side with my photographer friend Richard Chavez—not to mention the epic balcony. Definitely tops of my Too Fast For Love tour experience. ALl of the bands brought it even harder than two nights before and even though it was the tail end of three straight nights of shooting, between TFFL and A4L4, it was amazing. Also, mad props to Matt, who got up on stage during Cobra’s set (see gallery for pics) and proposed to his long time girlfriend. She said yes! I’m super sad I had to leave early from 3OH!3’s set, but I still managed to get a few good ones. Up next The Material’s recent show in San Diego and more later from the private Hey Monday show at the Roxy this week!

Too Fast For Love Tour // The Grove \ Anaheim, CA

End of May/Early June has been absolute chaos and I wanted to give FOE a chance to post these pics I took for them at the Too Fast For Love tour in SoCal but now that they’re up I can post them here! First up is Anaheim, the kids in I Fight Dragons and their very, very unique brand of geek-rock (props for the controller instruments, I can only imagine the time and money that’s gone into perfecting those). They got the energy up early only to be followed by one man that I’ve been eager to shoot for quite some time now, the one and only Travis McCoy (along with Matt McGinley from Gym Class Heroes and Infamous) who killed it absolutely and without a doubt slayed anacrime! Loved it. Of course next was my first time seeing 3OH!3 live and shooting them and it was everything I expected. And then one of my personal favorites, Cobra Starship! Always bringing it, always! Check out the pics and stay tuned for the pictures from the LA show and The Material’s recent show in San Diego and maybe a lil’ somethin’ somethin’ later from the private Hey Monday show at the Roxy this week!

Bamboozle Road Show // The Palladium \ Hollywood, CA

The Bamboozle Road Show was nothing short of amazing for me! I got to FINALLY meet Scott who I’ve been working with on different projects on and off for almost two years now (holla OG Hey Monday street team what what?) It was also an incredibly nostalgic show for me with Good Charlotte and Third Eye Blind taking me back to my freshman year of college and earlier. It was really intense and made me miss a lot of people back home and back in New York who I’ve lost touch with or haven’t seen in year(s). It was an awesome show from Drive-A (whose pit time I missed because of ticketing snafus) to The Ready Set (whose pictures I will be posting later, I covered BRS for Decaydance and I want to give them the opportunity to use the pictures before I post them on here, but fear not LOTS of pics of The Ready Set, fosho!) and Jordan was phenomenal. It was my first time seeing him live and it was cool to really see his passion on stage. I got to shoot FTSK for the first time and their set was great, it’s always awesome to see bands grow from the last time you saw them (it’s been a year and a half for me, saw them first on the SassyBack tour!) and FTSK has done nothing short of grow and grow since then! It was also great as always to see ATL and Boys Like Girls again and mad props to the crowd for being really respectful for the two medical emergencies that forced a pause in both of their sets. Without further ado, here are the pics! (Apologies for the dim pics for ATL and BLG i don’t know what happened there, enjoy, though!)

We Are Family… Venice Beach Boardwalk

Venice is always a good time and one of my favorite backdrops. There’s so much to see and every time I see something new. Here’s some snaps of some of my family of friends here in SoCal enjoying a day at the beach!
