Every year I have the amazing opportunity to attend and work at Gina Starbuck’s phenomenal and inspiring American Cancer Society benefit, Art4Life. Every year, the talent gets more amazing and the giving goes deeper and it’s an amazing opportunity for the art and entertainment community in LA to give back to a truly worthy charity. I’m always really inspired by the event when I walk away from it and this year was no different. There were performances by some of the best dancers in LA, Karmagraphy, TOKYO, Phlex, Futhamuckas and more as well as musical performances by John West, Melissa Fahn, Marisa Guterman and others. The hosts, Heather Morris (Glee), Francia Raisa (Secret Life) and Ryan Hill kept things fun, funny and awesome. Without any further ado, here are my pictures from Art4Life 4!

Melissa Fahn & Joel Alpers, expecting, at Lake Balboa
I had the amazing opportunity to shoot two of my best friends and “heart family” out here on the West Coast, featuring Melissa’s beautiful round baby belly. It has been a real blessing to have these two in my life and watching them finally complete their family after the years I’ve known them is a true miracle, not to be cliche. These two souls are SO beautifully in love, and I really wanted to show the love they have for each other and the little life that will be joining us soon. I can’t wait to be Aunt Jackie!!! So enjoy the newest love of my life, the soon to join us Baby Alpers and his mommy and daddy, Melissa and Joel.

I was super excited this October to shoot my longtime friend Melissa Fahn in a performance at Room 5 in Los Angeles, opening for another good friend, Pi Jacobs. Both women are amazing singers and a force to be reckoned with on the stage. I always love shooting these ladies and Pi’s album release party was no different.
