Blake and Sierra from VersaEmerge perform an acoustic set on Santa Monica Beach.
Had the wonderful opportunity to catch Blake and Sierra from VersaEmerge’s acoustic set just north of Santa Monica Pier on the beach beside a lifeguard stand and spent about two hours listening to old songs, new songs and some amazing cover songs (some funny ones too!) I had a blast and took some great pictures. Here are some from the set to be followed by some quick portraits that I shot of them after the set.
Senior Portraits, Erica, SBHS ‘10
Did some fun senior portraits for portraiture last session for my friends Erica and Tiffany and I thought I’d post them for you (or anyone locally interested in portraits) to see! Here’s the first batch, Erica.
Here it is! The JJ photo shoot I did last week in all it’s glory including a few precious bonus shots of her with her adorable little trouble makers, Malachy and Philip (who you might recognize from my Venice Kids shoot!) Keep your eye out, this girl is going to blow UP! (And the kids are gonna be gorgeous models for someone besides me!)
On Sunday I had the great opportunity to do a photo shoot with one of my favorite bands—and my wonderful friends— Hey Monday. They’re such great and talented people and I had SO much fun with them. Cassadee, Elliot, Alex, Mike and Jersey, thank you so much for a really great, fun shoot while I was home in Cleveland. I hope I get the opportunity to work with you guys again soon! Also, thanks to Rohan for hooking me up. You are the best!

Bright Lights // Big City: Josey Jayne Cannon
Over the last few months, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with some of my actor friends. First up is a gallery with shots from two shoots I’ve done with the one and only Josey Jayne Cannon (or JJ as I know her). The first shoot was a fun little vintage number at the Santa Barbara train station. The second is a handful from our headshot session at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. We had so much fun doing them, what do you think?
January Kids // PJ + Malachy
Kid/Family shoot for the month of January was PJ and Malachy with Mommy and Mommy’s BFF T down at Venice Beach in Los Angeles. It was an exciting day with newly rescued pup Remy, new sunglasses, new friends, and dipping tiny toes into the pacific for a whole new world of exploring seashells and watching the birds. Oh, and don’t forget the oversized cups of yum!
