I had the amazing opportunity to shoot two of my best friends and “heart family” out here on the West Coast, featuring Melissa’s beautiful round baby belly. It has been a real blessing to have these two in my life and watching them finally complete their family after the years I’ve known them is a true miracle, not to be cliche. These two souls are SO beautifully in love, and I really wanted to show the love they have for each other and the little life that will be joining us soon. I can’t wait to be Aunt Jackie!!! So enjoy the newest love of my life, the soon to join us Baby Alpers and his mommy and daddy, Melissa and Joel.

Halloween With The Nuts // A Collingwood Halloween
I had the honor of spending Halloween documenting the first time in 23 years that all of the Collingwood family, Aunts, Uncles, Grandchildren, Children, Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Family were together complete with newest editions Annie and Katie. There was fun for all, from a trip to the Somis Nuthouse and a local pumpkin patch and petting zoo to carving pumpkins and a family trick-or-treat. And in between that there was food, family and Harleys. So here’s a glimpse into a holiday in the life of the Collingwood Nuthouse!
Last month I got the pleasure and honor of visiting the Perfect Paws Rescue Group in Frazier Park, CA where I met Panda (now happily adopted and called “Coco”) the Pomeranian, Sarge the Spaniel mix, Leo the orange tabby kitten and more. The Perfect Paws Rescue Group is one of many unique and loving rescue shelters in southern California that’s taken a real hit from the stumbling economy that desperately needs adoptive owners and benefactors.
I took these pictures not only to uncover the amazing personalities of the dogs and cats at Perfect Paws but also to draw attention to a problem that often goes forgotten—helping find homes and shelter for abandoned or mistreated animals. I know many people don’t have the resources or room to adopt these beautiful creatures, but if you could spare even a few dollars, it could help feed, bathe, spay, neuter or otherwise care for one of these precious pups or kittens, please take a moment to donate to this very special shelter or one like it. Also please, before spending money on a new dog from a breeder, check sites like Petfinder.com to see if there are any in a shelter needing a home, there are MANY purebred pets in these shelters!
Also, If you’d like to purchase a print of one of these dogs, I will donate a portion of any proceeds from the prints to the Perfect Paws shelter!

The JJ photo shoot I did last week in all it’s glory including a few precious bonus shots of her with her adorable little trouble makers, Malachy and Philip (who you might recognize from my Venice Kids shoot!) Keep your eye out, this girl is going to blow UP! (And the kids are gonna be gorgeous models for someone besides me!)
